I think I must have inherited a hat gene from my mother who made hats in the 20's and 30's. I've always known what a woman wants in a hat.

I practically grew up in my mother's little sewing room, watching her sew on sequins, attaching feathers and rhinestones, creating the fashionable hats of that time.

My booth at an arts and crafts show I've brought to this art all my mother's expertise; mixing my own dyes for soft powdery shades, and shaping the brims by hand--many different things that make Barbara Allen Hats look fabulous and feel wonderful.

They have a just a touch of vintage and are elegant, embodying an era when woman wore them, and it is my goal to rekindle those feelings about hats; that certain mystique they impart on a woman, embracing and enhancing her femininity.

We will be constantly introducing new styles and designs, so do come back soon, and thank you for visiting my site.
